sketch paintings in turquoise and blue black.
Looking at and thinking about the methods of Helen Frankenthaler.
one of our neighbors when I was growing up, Gerry Keon, had a wonderful painting in the house at Cliff Road. It is hanging at the top of the stairs and was a long thin painting in dreamy greens and blacks and it had a large cross in it a bit like this. When I think about is now (probably painted in the late 1960's) it has elements of Tapies, Blake, Klimt, Kline and the New York colour field painters.
