Dream Poem 7
On the embankment
On a path
I stood looking down
at the beach and the sea, it was high tide.
As I watched, bands
of scattered showers came in from the horizon line.
Just a couple of
lines of rain,
They let their water
go and played out quickly
One
After
Another
Like music
Like someone
practicing scales
The last one let its
water go right by my foot
But I was not wetted.
