working in an old sketchbook from 2 years ago, I had begun researching puppets with a view to making some and got as far as making maquettes in white stoneware and porcelain, but the idea never progressed. lookingat the book i was going to tea out the pages but I thought perhaps I can use these again and began some Grisaille underpaintings on top of the photocopies, using black acrylics and gesso. I am really pleased with the developments. Ill take some further with oil medium glazing.
